World's creepiest pick-up.
I was in a foreigner-y section of Seoul on Saturday, and I gave this dude subway directions, because I'm awesome. (I'm now 90% sure they were bad directions. I am awesome, but I suck at directions.) The guy started asking for my number, and I was all, "Oh, I have a boyfriend."

Him: "Come on. People like us are like earthworms: We almost never meet in the light."

Ew. What? AAAAH! I had so many reactions, all at once! And every time I think about it, I come up with another way that's creepy!

(At least he wasn't The Entertainer.)

Bonus creepy: After I walked away, the first song that came up on my iPod was "Scream and Run Away" by the Gothic Archies. Ha!

I'm awesome too! Small world!

Come on. People like us are like earthworms: We almost never meet in the light.

Weird creepy is much worse than horny-creepy. But on the plus side, you appear to be on a getting-hit-on hot streak! (albeit one that brings to mind the M.I.T. woman's motto: "the odds are good but the goods are odd.")

I know! You gave me my first awesome lessons!

Hahah! That's a good one. Expats in Korea usually fall into three camps: People Who Want Adventure, People Who Are Serious About Teaching, and LBHs -- Losers Back Home. I am LBH bait lately!

Ugh, why does the hot streak start as soon as I'm dating a guy I like? I got hit on two more times on my way home that night! (Not by anybody I'd consider in a hundred squillion years, but still.)

WHAT! That sounds less like a pickup line and more like a threat of murder. Or quite possibly he wanted to turn you into a vampire.
